In addition, the DS400 has the flexibility to destroy a variety of other media and/or other items to CUI and/or privacy act (unclassified) level destruction such as: Blu-ray discs, ID badges, key access cards, microfilm, view graphs, floppy disks, audio cassettes, plastic credit cards, simm cards, etc. With a larger 1/4" screen this unit can also destroy most cell phones, smartphones, PDAs and similar media.

The SEM Model DS400 disintegrator has been evaluated by NSA and with a standard 3/32" waste-sizing screen, meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-02, high security disintegrators, NSA/CSS 04-02 Optical Media and 04-01 punch tape (with 5/64" screen).
