The MVR-V- SSD has a large versatile crushing chamber that allows it to destroy, disable and render inoperable, without any special adapters, a variety of miniaturized electronic devices and data storage media including USBs, PDAs, cell/smart phones, laptop HDDsand circuit boards.It will also crush and disable a limited number of computer HDDs (see specifications).

The MVR-V SSD utilizes Phiston's proprietary 20 Ton (40,000 lbs.) MediaVise hydraulic crushing platform fitted with a pair of patented crushing plates with arrays of 187 interlocking razor sharp hardened steel teeth (see below). MVR-V-SSD integrates two of Phiston`s Technological breakthrough into one Machine:
The crusher doesn't simply bend SSDs leaving chips intact; it chews them with up to 187 teeth piercings of the SSD media. Fragile ceramic memory chips and controllers are punctured, crushed and serrated on both sides,in less than 30 seconds, including automatic debris ejection and containment.

Designed specifically for SSD destruction, the large number and high density of teeth on the crushing plates with V-Spike Technology ensure maximum destruction of memory chips and other electronic components in solid state.

EVALUATIONS

• Approved by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for Secure Destruction of SSDs and Miniaturized Electronic Devices including USBs, PDAs and cell/smart phones containing or having processed:

a) Protected A or B, or Confidential Information. Prior clearing or overwriting is recommended but not required.

b) Secret or Protected C information; provided information was encrypted or first cleared or overwritten.

• Approved by the RCMP for Interim Destruction pending further Approved Destruction. The MVR-V- SSD renders HDDs, SSDs and Miniaturized Electronic Devices unplayable by ordinary means and is therefore approved as a risk mitigation measure for media in transit to, or awaiting additional destruction required for medium and confidentiality levels of information.

a) Protected A and B information. Prior clearing or overwriting is not required.
